Under State Bank of Pakistan’s vision of digitalizing the Banking Sector, Soneri Bank Limited has launched its FX portal “Soneri FXport” for Trade and Remittance transactions, enabling Corporate and Individual customers to electronically submit FX transactions for approvals.

To use Soneri FXport, individual customers can create the ID on Soneri Bank’s website, however, corporate customers should approach the branch for access and ID creation on the FXport.

1. What is Soneri FXport?

Soneri FXport is a portal through which FX cases requiring SBP approval can be submitted to SBP.

2. How can Corporate Customer register in Soneri FXport?

An authorized corporate customer representative has to visit his/her branch with a request letter mentioning designated email ID and contact number on which link for activation with OTP code will be send.

3. How can Individual Customer register himself on Soneri FXport?

Existing individual customer can register himself on Soneri FXport by providing his/her/her basic account information i.e. CNIC number, account number and NTN number (if applicable).

4. How can the Corporate Customer use Soneri FXport?

First he has to define himself as Admin by creating ADMIN ID through link and then OTP will be sent by the bank. Then he will create his/her users to process the cases requiring SBP approvals on Soneri FXport.

5. How can Individual Customer use Soneri FXport?

Customer himself lodges his/her cases in Soneri FXport and there is no multiple
users required/allowed.

6. How can the Customer route cases through Soneri FXport?

Customer will lodge his/her case in Soneri FXport, subsequently Soneri Bank will
receive an email alert via system with case number for processing and tracking.

7. What if any discrepancies in the cases are identified or observed by Soneri Bank?

: If Soneri Bank found any discrepancy in FX case violating regulatory requirement then that case shall be reverted back to customer for rectification.

8. How can Customer track the status of his/her case submitted for approval?

:Customer will get automated email at each step of processing to monitor or track progress of his/her case.

9. What are the bank charges for each cases processed on the Soneri FXport?

Bank will charge customers as per SOC.

10. Can Walk in Customer register/ lodge his/her application via this/her Portal?

Soneri FXport is exclusive for its on board customers.

11. How many types of users exit in Soneri FXport?

Two types of users are on Soneri FXport

  • Individual Users
  • Corporate Users

12. Where I can see the status of my transaction?

On statistics section “Home Page”

13. What will I do if I forgot my login password?

  • Click Forgot Password button on login screen.
  • Type the user name & OTP will be generated on your registered cell phone.
  • You can now set New Password from Change Password screen.
