Terms and Conditions

By using the MOBILE BANKING SERVICES, the Customer (Mobile Banking User of Soneri Bank Limited) hereby agrees to these Terms and Conditions, which govern the use of MOBILE BANKING SERVICES of the Bank (which expression wherever used in these Terms and Conditions means Soneri Bank Limited, having its Registered Office at Rupali House 241-242 Upper Mall Scheme Anand Road Lahore 54000 Pakistan and Its Central Office at Al-Rahim Tower I.I Chundrighar Road Karachi 74000 Pakistan) by the Customer and as amended by the Bank from time to time.

These Terms & Conditions set out the rights and obligations of you, the customer, and us, the Bank, in connection with your use of the Soneri Mobile Banking Service. All the terms & conditions of this Mobile Banking Service are legally binding, so please read them through carefully before you accept and agree to the said terms and conditions.

Soneri Mobile Banking Service means our mobile phone banking service which is one of the services of Soneri Bank Ltd that enables the bank’s customers to access their account details as well as all available transactions subject to expiry of transactions per sessions offered by the Bank from time to time using a mobile phone.

You acknowledge and agree that the Bank may in its sole and absolute discretion without notice and from time to time add to, vary, alter, suspend or remove any part of or all of the Soneri Mobile Banking Service, or any function or feature of the Soneri Mobile Banking Service without giving any reason and without incurring any liability.

These terms and conditions shall be in addition to and not in derogation of other terms and conditions relating to any account o f the Customer and/or the respective product or the service provided by the Bank unless otherwise specifically stated.

The Bank may inform you from time to time about changes to the way you should access or operate the Mobile Banking service. You must observe all such changes when accessing or operating the Mobile Banking service.

The Mobile Banking services are intended to be available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day but there is no warranty that the same will be available at all times and wherever operationally possible for the Bank and Bank cannot be held in any way liable for suspension or disruption of the service for any reason beyond its control.

You further agree that the Bank shall be entitled at any time, with prior notice, to temporarily suspend the operation of the Mobile Banking service for updating, maintenance and upgrading purposes, or any other purpose whatsoever that the Bank deems fit, and in such event, the Bank shall not be liable for any loss, liability or damage which may be incurred as a result.

The Customer hereby agrees to abide by, without need of notice and express consent, any and all future modifications, innovations, amendments or alterations to these terms and conditions / Soneri Bank Mobile Banking Service.

Any technological hindrances in the system will display a failure message to the Customer.

The Customer is solely responsible for intimating in writing to the Bank or by calling the call centre / helpline for any change in his mobile phone number and the Bank will not be liable for sending Alerts or other information over the Customer’s mobile phone number in any way, whatsoever if change of mobile phone number is not notified to Bank.

The Customer shall be liable for payment of airtime or other charges which may be levied by the Mobile Service Provider in connection with the use of this Facility, as per the terms and conditions of the Mobile Service Provider and the Bank is in no way concerned with the same.

The Bank will automatically terminate your right of access to the Mobile Banking Services should you cease to maintain any Account with the Bank or should your access to such Account be restricted by the Bank or under provision of any Pakistan law.

The Bank reserves the right to add or alter any of the terms and conditions under intimation to the Customer and the Customer agrees to abide by the said changes.

The Customer shall be required to acquaint himself/herself with the process for using the Service and that he/she shall be responsible for any error made while using the Service.

The Bank reserves the right to decide what services may be offered. Additions/ deletions to the services offered under the facility are at its sole discretion.

The Bank shall make all reasonable efforts to ensure that the customer information is kept confidential but shall not be responsible for any inadvertent divulgence or leakage of confidential Customer in formation for reasons beyond its control or by action of any third party and reserves the right to share the information with third parties, regulatory authorities and court of law.

The Customer expressly authorizes the Bank to carry out all requests/ transactions purporting to have been received from his/her mobile phone.

The Bank shall not be responsible for any erroneous payments /transaction/fund transfer arising out of wrong input of by the customer. The customer further confirm and agrees to waive any right which the customer may otherwise have for holding the Bank responsible for any mistake or omission caused by the Service (Soneri Bank Mobile Banking Service) and any delay by the Bank due to reasons beyond its control in onward transmission of funds to the Companies which may result in disruption of utility services.

It is the responsibility of the Customer to advise the Bank of any change in his mobile number or loss/ theft of mobile phone by adopting the procedure laid down by the Bank for the purpose.

The customer will be responsible for all transactions, including fraudulent/erroneous transactions made through the use of his/ her mobile phone, SIM card. The customer will be responsible for the loss/damage, if any suffered.

The customer must at all times keep his/her M-PIN confidential and must not disclose it to any other person or write it down or record it in a manner that could result in its disclosure or misuse. It will be the sole responsibility of the Customer to maintain secrecy of M-PIN Code and will not share this one and also does not disclose any information to any one and Bank will not be responsible for damages in case of customer bear any loss/damage.

In order to use Soneri Bank Mobile Banking Service, the Customer must be registered by the Bank to use the Soneri Bank Mobile Banking Service and comply with the registration procedures prescribed by the Bank.

The Customer shall take all steps possible to ensure that his/her mobile phone is not shared with anyone and shall take immediate action to de-register from MOBILE BANKING SERVICES as per procedure laid down in case of misuse/ theft/loss of the mobile phone or SIM card.

The Customer shall be liable and responsible for all legal compliance and adherence of all commercial terms and conditions in respect of the mobile connection/SIM card/mobile phone through which the facility is availed and the Bank does not accept/acknowledge any responsibility in this regard.

The services offered under the Facility will be automatically terminated if the accounts linked for the Mobile Banking Services are closed. The Bank may also terminate or suspend the services under the Facility without prior notice if the customer has violated the terms and conditions laid down by the Bank or on the death of the Customer when brought to the notice of the Bank.

The Customer confirms having read, understood and accepted the above terms and conditions in acknowledgement of which he / she has signed / accepted this set of terms & conditions.
